Tomorrow's Studio: Developing an Immersive Environment for Design Education by Facilitating Gaze Sharing in XR
Principal Investigator
Gaze Sharing refers to the act of sharing gaze information across several people. Current research has demonstrated that Gaze Sharing can enhance educational activities. However, its potential in to support design education has not been explored. Capitalizing on the strengths of emerging XR (extended reality) technologies, an environment for design education is proposed. The environment visualizes the gaze of teachers and students in real-time, so that each is aware of the other's focus of attention. This opens new and exciting possibilities for communication in design education.
